Illini West Receives Over $12,000 from Fortress Bank


Fortress Bank recently donated $12,024.30 to Illini West High School from the Fortress Bank School First Credit Card program. Kim Taylor, Vice President/Banking Center Manager of Carthage and Jeanette Ford, Vice President/ Banking Center Manager of LaHarpe presented student and teacher representatives with the donation. This year’s recipients include: Business Department, Co-op Program, Christmas for Underprivileged, Drama Club, Family & Consumer Science, Fortress Financial Scholars Program, International Club, Math Team, National Honor Society, SADD, Scholastic Trap Shooting Team, Student Enhancement/PBIS and Yearbook. 

Each year Fortress donates one percent of all purchases and balance transfers made on a Fortress School First Credit Card to participating schools. To date Fortress Bank has donated over $135,000 to the Illini West School District and a total of over $186,000 to local schools.

“We take great pride in the financial support this program brings to the local schools.” says Regional President Andy Bastert. 



Fortress Bank Opens to Line of New Customers

Davenport, IA, February 20, 2018  

Fortress Bank opened its newest banking center Tuesday morning to a line of new customers. The 8,000-square-foot bank building at East 53rd Street and Interstate 74 was the former home of Mimzi Art & Frame. 

As part of the grand opening celebration, new customers who opened a checking account from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. will receive $250.

The new banking center provides a complete array of banking products and services, including deposit accounts, business banking and mortgage lending.
“While Fortress Bank may be new to most people, we are not new to the Quad Cities,” said Garlach. “We have a number of local investors in our bank and have made more than $50 million in loans to Quad City area businesses and consumers.” 


Monmouth Team is Banking on a Cure

Fortress' (First State's) Monmouth staff team, Banking on a Cure, turned out in force for the Relay for Life Warren-Henderson-Monmouth College event. This April 1st Relay event, held at Monmouth College's Huff Athletic Center made huge strides toward their cancer fighting goal for the year.
