Compliance Assistant
The objectives of this position include, but are not limited to, the Regulations of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Truth In Lending / RESPA / TRID / and Reg CC. As the Bank grows, this role is likely to grow with it in duties and responsibilities.
- Monitor existing compliance programs and activities.
- Suggest new or revised compliance actions based upon applicable regulations and Bank goals.
- Train Bank team members on the impact of lending and operational compliance.
- Collaborate with different departments regarding the administration of the critical programs listed above to ensure excellence in products and services.
- Work with team members in solving the organizational puzzles presented to compliance or referenced by auditors.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work under frequent time pressures.
- Willingness to constantly learn and adjust to changing regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to understand and utilize available resources.
- High level of self motivation.
- Ability to present information confidently to influence others’ behaviors.
- High level of detail orientation.
- Two years of banking or regulatory experience.
- Knowledge of QuestSoft software tools preferred, not required.
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel for trainings if needed.
