Jeff “S.U.” serves as the head of the commercial banking division of Fortress Bank since June 2022. Jeff was most recently Senior Vice President for Morton Community Bank where he began his banking career in commercial credit and loan review, moving to the commercial lending team in 2012, and managing the Paycheck Protection Program in 2020. Born in southern California with stops along the way in Texas, Germany, and Iowa, Jeff earned his undergraduate degree (economics and finance) and MBA from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Residing in Morton, Illinois, Jeff is actively involved as the President of the Morton Chamber of Commerce, Race Director for the Pumpkin Classic, and Treasurer for the Kids’ Muddy Madness for St. Jude Event.
